A former topless model suspected of joining the ranks of Islamic State has been released without charge. Kimberley Miners was alleged to have shared IS videos on Facebook and contacted a British fighter in Syria.
Miners was thought to be posing under the name Aisha Lauren al-Britaniya and allegedly posted images of Muslim women brandishing rifles and other weapons, as well as a picture of herself in a full-face veil. [source]

#Russia offers again #US seal #pact on mutual non-interference in each other's affairs

US Ambassador to Russia, Jon Huntsman, has been handed a proposal for Washington and Moscow to exchange guarantees of non-interference in each others internal affairs, Russia’s Foreign Ministry spokeswoman has said.
The memorandum, in which Russia’s “readiness to exchange letters or other forms of guarantees of mutual non-interference into electoral and other internal political processes, was again confirmed,” and forwarded to Huntsman on December 21, Zakharova said. “The matter now lies with the American side,” she stated, adding that the media should engage US officials for further comment. The Yazidi minority who suffered a “genocide” in the war against IS in Iraq, with thousands of women and children still missing and survivors subjected to sex slavery, are not getting justice human rights organisations told RT.
“This community has suffered so much throughout this genocide…,” co-founder of the Yazda humanitarian organization, Murad Ismael said. “Roughly 12,000 Yazidis were killed or enslaved. We’ve found so far more than 45 mass graves, that have the remains of thousands of people.” [source]

Following a strong backlash for conceding they reduced the processing speed of aging iPhones, Apple apologized to customers and lowered the price of the out-of-warranty battery replacements by $50.
